Small plane crashes in Bundaberg

A 60-YEAR-OLD pilot has been seriously injured after his plane crashed into bush in southern Queensland.

Emergency services found him trapped inside the wreckage of the ultra-light plane off Moore Park Road, Bundaberg on Sunday morning.

It took them nearly an hour to free the man, who was the only occupant.

He was taken to the Bundaberg Hospital unconscious and with injuries described as serious.
